Josef Achrer je zaujatý malíř, pro kterého je i nadále obraz nevyčerpatelným tématem. V jeho práci z posledních let můžeme nacházet jasné reminiscence na minimalismus a konceptuální tendence. V nedávné době se však do povahy jeho děl a do odborné i společenské debaty dostaly podněty, které nás nutí nahlížet na ně trochu odlišným způsobem. 

Do prostoru Fait Gallery MEM připravuje Achrer výstavu, která i přes svou svůdně vyhlížející zjevnost v mnoha ohledech téma obrazu a malby jako takové překračuje. Zároveň ale znovu objevuje řadu vztahů a daností, které tradičně spoluutvářely statut obrazu a jeho percepci. Do této potvrzovací smyčky však vstupují momenty, které nás mohou z této debaty vyvést k širší úvaze o fenoménech naší aktuální současnosti.

JOSEF ACHRER / BACKSTORIES

Josef Achrer (1982) is a committed artist for whom the painting is still an inexhaustible topic. In his work of the past years, we can find a clear reminiscence of minimalism and conceptual tendencies. Recently, however, there are ideas in the nature of his work and in professional and social debate that force us to look at them a little differently.

For the space in Fait Gallery MEM Achrer prepares an exhibition that, despite its seductive looking obviousness, in many respects goes further behind the theme of picture and painting technique themselves. At the same time the exhibition rediscovers a series of relationships and implications that have traditionally shaped the statute of painting and its perception. However, there are moments entering this confirmative loop that can lead us out of this debate to wider reflection on the phenomena of our current present.
