V této nové sérii prací, autorka zkoumá a definuje „domácí“ systémy a schémata, principy jejich vytváření a hraje si s jejich určitou absurditou. Byla inspirovana reálnýmy momenty a situacemi, které s jemnou nadsázkou rekonstruktovala, zveličovala, přeháněla a donesla k hranicím perfekcionismu, nebo naopak dokumentovala konkrétní okamžik poznamenaný dávkou jisté podivnosti či každodenního „zázraku“. V obou případech se balancuje na hranici reálnosti a konstrukce.In this new series of work, Michaela Thelenová explores the “domestic” routine and way of doing things, the principals of its set-up, and inherent absurdities. Inspired by real moments appropriated from everyday life, the artist reinterpreted familiar domestic situations by initiating slight changes, enhancements, or exaggerations, and by documenting concrete moments manifested by their peculiar nature or representation of an everyday “miracle“. The resulting images border on the edge of reality and fiction.
