Ennui – Guided Tour [English]

Join us for a guided tour of the exhibition Ennui at SVĚTOVA 1, Světova 523/1, 180 00 Praha 8, Sunday 11 September 2022, 4 pm. The tour will be led by the exhibition’s producers and artists.
 

Ennui is an exhibition produced by Rivers, Vorlíček and Xu and conceived in cooperation with the Queer Spaces Network. Presented as part of the SUMO I Co-Exist festival and Prague Art Week at SVĚTOVA 1, 1–17 September 2022.  

Ennui focuses on the topic first envisioned by the French writer Gustave Flaubert back in the early 19th century. Participating artists centre in their practices on this “experience of capitalist (post)modernity – the alienation and anomie putatively experienced by the much-derided bourgeoise” and as such explore another topic within the ongoing SVĚTOVA 1’s curatorial research As we grow.
